A warm and comforting soup featuring creamy ribbons of egg and tender wontons in a flavorful chicken broth.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1012 wontons (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: soy sauce, sesame oil for additional flavor

Instructions

  1. Bring the broth to a boil in a pot.
  2. Cook the wontons according to package instructions until they float to the top.
  3. Beat the eggs in a small bowl.
  4. Create the egg ribbons by slowly pouring the beaten eggs into the broth.
  5. Combine ingredients by stirring gently to mix.
  6. Season with salt, pepper, and optional flavors to taste.
  7. Garnish with chopped green onions and serve hot.

Notes

For a vibrant broth, add fish sauce or a squeeze of lime. Use pre-made wontons for a quicker meal.
