This light and fluffy Whipped Strawberry Buttercream Frosting adds a burst of fruity flavor to your desserts, elevating cakes and cupcakes to new heights.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 4 cups powdered sugar, sifted
  • 1/4 cup strawberry puree
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 tablespoon heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Beat the room temperature butter on medium speed until creamy, about 2 minutes.
  2. Gradually add the sifted powdered sugar on low speed until incorporated.
  3. Increase the mixer speed to medium and add the strawberry puree, vanilla extract, and pinch of salt.
  4. Continue whipping for 3 to 4 minutes until light and fluffy, scraping down the bowl as needed.
  5. If the frosting is too thick, add the heavy cream and whip for an additional minute until smooth.
  6. Use immediately to frost cakes or cupcakes, or chill briefly and re-whip before using.

Notes

Store leftover frosting in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. Re-whip before using.
