Delicious turkey lettuce wraps filled with savory turkey, colorful vegetables, and wrapped in fresh lettuce, perfect for family dinners or casual gatherings.

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 1 cup mushrooms, diced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • Lettuce leaves for wrapping
  • Green onions, chopped (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat until it’s shimmering invitingly.
  2. Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet, sautéing until they’re fragrant and translucent—about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Introduce the ground turkey to the skillet. Cook until it’s browned and crumbly—about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Stir in the diced bell pepper and mushrooms, cooking for an additional 5 minutes.
  5. Add the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, and minced ginger to the turkey mixture. Stir until well combined.
  6. Remove the skillet from heat and let the mixture cool slightly.
  7. Spoon the turkey mixture into fresh lettuce leaves, folding them like parcels.
  8. Sprinkle with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
