Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (15 ounces) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (15 ounces) black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (28 ounces) diced tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground turkey in a large pot over medium heat until fully cooked.
  2. Add the chopped onions and minced garlic, cooking until softened.
  3. Stir in the chopped bell pepper, chili powder, and cumin, cooking for about 2 minutes.
  4. Combine the diced tomatoes, kidney beans, black beans, chicken broth, salt, and pepper in the pot.
  5. Let the mixture simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Adjust seasoning if necessary and serve hot with your favorite toppings.
