Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 pieces tilapia fillet
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Pat the tilapia fillets dry with a paper towel. Season both sides generously with salt and pepper.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat.
  3. Gently place the seasoned tilapia fillets into the skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
  4. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds.
  5. Pour in the chicken broth and lemon juice, scraping up any browned bits. Let simmer for 1 minute.
  6. Stir in the heavy cream and cook for about 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  7. Return the tilapia fillets to the skillet, spooning the cream sauce over the top.
  8. Sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Consider pairing with rice or mashed potatoes to soak up the sauce. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
