These light and flavorful Thai Turkey Lettuce Wraps combine fresh ingredients and vibrant flavors for a satisfying meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb Ground turkey
  • 8 leaves Romaine lettuce
  • 1/4 cup Peanut sauce
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp Ginger, minced
  • 3 each Green onions, chopped
  • 1 cup Carrots, shredded
  • 2 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Lime juice

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Turkey Filling: In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground turkey. Cook, breaking it apart with a spoon, until it’s browned and no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Combine Aromatics: Once the turkey is cooked, stir in the minced garlic and ginger. Sauté for another 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Add the Seasonings: Pour in the soy sauce and lime juice. Stir well to ensure the turkey is evenly coated in the flavorful liquid. This should only take about 1 minute.
  4. Incorporate Fresh Veggies: Add the shredded carrots and chopped green onions to the pan, folding them into the turkey mixture. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the vegetables are slightly tender but still crisp.
  5. Prepare Lettuce Wraps: While the turkey filling cools slightly, wash and dry your romaine lettuce leaves. These will hold your savory filling, so be sure to pick leaves that are large and sturdy.
  6. Assemble the Wraps: Spoon a generous amount of the turkey filling into the center of each lettuce leaf. Drizzle with peanut sauce for that sweet and savory touch.
  7. Serve & Enjoy: Fold the sides of the lettuce over the turkey filling, then take a big bite – savor all the enticing flavors!

Notes

These wraps can be made ahead of time, and leftovers can be stored for up to 3 days. Substitute ground turkey with chicken or tofu for variations.
