Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 bone-in pork chops (1 inch thick)
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoon unsalted butter

  1. Start by patting the pork chops dry with a paper towel. Season both sides with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, dried thyme, and brown sugar.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and drizzle in olive oil. Sear each side of the pork chops for about 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
  3. Add the unsalted butter and baste the chops with the melted butter for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Deglaze the pan by adding apple cider vinegar, allowing it to simmer and spoon over the chops.
  5. Remove the chops from heat and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.
