Ingredients
Scale
2 bone-in pork chops (1 inch thick)
1 tablespoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1 tablespoon brown sugar
2 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoon unsalted butter
2 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
Instructions
Start by patting the pork chops dry with a paper towel. Season both sides with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, dried thyme, and brown sugar.
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and drizzle in olive oil. Sear each side of the pork chops for about 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
Add the unsalted butter and baste the chops with the melted butter for 1-2 minutes.
Deglaze the pan by adding apple cider vinegar, allowing it to simmer and spoon over the chops.
Remove the chops from heat and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
Serve with buttery mashed potatoes or a fresh salad. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
