  • 4 chicken thighs, boneless and skinless
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch piece of ginger, grated
  • 2 cups steamed rice (cooked)
  • 2 cups broccoli, cut into florets
  • 1 cup snap peas
  • 2 cups shredded cabbage
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken thighs in a mixture of soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, and ginger for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the marinated chicken until it’s beautifully caramelized and cooked through, about 6-7 minutes per side.
  3. Prepare steamed rice according to package instructions.
  4. Sauté the broccoli, snap peas, and shredded cabbage until they are tender-crisp, about 4-5 minutes.
  5. Serve the seared chicken over a bed of rice, topped with the colorful sautéed vegetables and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
