A delicious blend of a crunchy pretzel crust, creamy filling, and a vibrant strawberry layer, perfect for summer gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2.5 cups crushed pretzels
  • 1 cup butter, melted
  • 0.25 cup light brown sugar
  • 2 8-ounce blocks cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 16-ounce container Cool Whip frozen topping, thawed
  • 0.5 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1 6-ounce package strawberry Jello powder mix
  • 3 cups boiling water
  • 4 cups sliced frozen strawberries

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Pretzel Crust: Begin by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a medium bowl, combine the crushed pretzels, melted butter, and brown sugar. Stir until everything is well coated and crumbly. Press this mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish to create a solid crust. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes, then set aside to cool completely.
  2. Mix the Creamy Filling: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar together until smooth and creamy. Gently fold in the thawed Cool Whip and almond extract until the mixture is well blended and silky.
  3. Spread the Filling on the Crust: Once your pretzel crust has thoroughly cooled, spread the creamy filling evenly over the crust. It’s a heavenly layer, so don’t rush—take your time to smooth it out beautifully!
  4. Prepare the Strawberry Layer: In another bowl, combine the strawberry Jello powder with 3 cups of boiling water. Stir until the Jello is completely dissolved. Let it sit for about 10 minutes to cool slightly before adding in the sliced frozen strawberries, mixing until they are well combined.
  5. Combine the Layers: Carefully pour the strawberry mixture over the cream cheese layer in the dish, ensuring even coverage.
  6. Chill and Serve: Cover the dish with plastic wrap and transfer it to the refrigerator. Let it chill for at least 180 minutes (or overnight is even better!) until everything is set. When you’re ready to serve, slice it up and watch your guests’ faces light up!
