Delightful Strawberry Danish pastries filled with creamy cream cheese and fresh strawberries, perfect for breakfast or a sweet snack.

  • 1 sheet puff pastry (store-bought or homemade)
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry sheet and cut it into 4 equal squares.
  3. Combine the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and lemon juice in a small bowl.
  4. Spread a layer of the cream cheese mixture onto the center of each puff pastry piece.
  5. Top the cream cheese layer with sliced fresh strawberries and sprinkle with granulated sugar.
  6. Carefully fold the corners of each puff pastry square over the filling.
  7. Whisk together the egg and milk, then brush the mixture over the edges of the puff pastry.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
  9. Allow the pastries to cool for a few minutes, then dust with powdered sugar.
  10. Serve warm and enjoy your homemade Strawberry Danish.
