  • 1 lb smoked sausage, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 cups jasmine rice
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • Olive oil (for cooking)
  • Optional: black pepper, salt, red pepper flakes to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat the skillet with olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Brown the sausage until golden, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Create the sticky sauce by combining honey, soy sauce, black pepper, salt, and red pepper flakes in a bowl.
  5. Coat the sausage with the honey-soy mixture.
  6. Add the jasmine rice and mix well.
  7. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a boil.
  8. Simmer covered for 18-20 minutes until the rice is tender.
  9. Let it rest covered for an additional 5 minutes.
  10. Fluff with a fork and serve.
