A hearty and spicy meal that combines juicy steak, flavorful garlic butter, and comforting pasta all cooked in one skillet for a delicious weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye), sliced thin
  • 12 oz spaghetti or linguine
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Sear the steak: In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 1/4 cup of butter and cook the seasoned steak for about 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
  2. Sauté the garlic: In the same skillet, add the remaining butter and sauté minced garlic for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Simmer with broth: Add the beef broth, bringing it to a simmer.
  4. Mix in the pasta: Stir in the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, absorbing all that rich broth.
  5. Combine everything: Reduce heat to low, return the steak to the skillet, add red pepper flakes, and mix in the Parmesan cheese until well combined.
  6. Final seasoning: Taste and adjust seasoning if needed, ensuring every mouthful is flavorful before serving hot, garnished with parsley.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat with a splash of beef broth.
