A comforting bowl of ramen featuring succulent chicken and a creamy garlic sauce with a spicy kick.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pieces boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts (substitute with tofu or mushrooms for vegetarian option)
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 4 cloves garlic (2 minced for broth, 2 for creamy sauce)
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 2 packs ramen noodles (substitute with udon or soba if desired)
  • 1 piece green onion (chopped for garnish)
  • 1 teaspoon chili oil (optional)

Instructions

  1. Sear the chicken by seasoning with chili powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and cook chicken for 5-6 minutes per side until golden brown.
  2. Prepare the broth by adding minced garlic to the leftover oil in the skillet and sautéing until fragrant, then adding chicken broth, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Bring to a simmer.
  3. Add the ramen noodles to the simmering broth and cook according to package instructions, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Make the creamy garlic sauce by combining remaining minced garlic and heavy cream in a bowl.
  5. Assemble the dish by slicing the seared chicken, stirring the creamy garlic sauce into the broth and noodles, and adding chili oil if desired.
  6. Serve the ramen in bowls, topping with sliced chicken and chopped green onion.

Notes

For a vegetarian option, substitute chicken with tofu or mushrooms. To enhance flavor, consider adding fresh herbs or spices.
