Soft, chewy donut bars sweetened with maple syrup, perfect for breakfast, snacks, or dessert.

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9-inch baking pan.
  2. Whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon in a large bowl.
  3. Mix the milk, maple syrup, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract in another bowl until well combined.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined; do not overmix.
  5. Spread the batter into the prepared baking pan evenly.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow to cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. Dust with powdered sugar if desired, slice into bars, and enjoy.

Notes

For added flavor, feel free to include nuts or chocolate chips. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days.
