A comforting pasta dish combining smoked sausage with the sweetness of honey and the warmth of garlic, perfect for family dinners.

  • 1 lb smoked sausage, sliced
  • 12 oz penne pasta
  • 1 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped green onions (for garnish)
  • Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the penne pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente; drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat, then add the sliced sausage. Cook until browned (about 5-7 minutes).
  3. Stir in the minced garlic, honey, soy sauce, smoked paprika, and a dash of black pepper; cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  4. Toss the cooked penne pasta into the skillet, mixing well to coat everything with that delicious sauce.
  5. Serve warm, garnished with chopped green onions and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese if desired.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat gently on the stove with a splash of water.
