A rich and creamy one-pot pasta dish with shrimp and crab enveloped in Alfredo sauce, perfect for family gatherings or cozy dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces fettuccine or linguine
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup lump crab meat, drained and flaked
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups chicken or seafood broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Boil water in a large pot, adding a generous pinch of salt. Cook the fettuccine or linguine until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes. Remember to reserve a cup of pasta water before draining!
  2. Heat the olive oil in another pot over medium heat. Once hot, add the minced garlic and cook for about 2 minutes until fragrant, stirring constantly to avoid burning.
  3. Stir in the chicken or seafood broth and heavy cream into the pot with the garlic. Mix well to create a luscious base for our seafood.
  4. Incorporate the shrimp and flaked crab meat into the sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste, and let it simmer until the shrimp turns pink and is cooked through, approximately 3-4 minutes.
  5. Add the drained pasta to the sauce, gently tossing to ensure it is well coated. If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of the reserved pasta water to reach your desired consistency.
  6. Finally, stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and fully incorporated into the sauce. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary for a burst of flavor.
  7. Spoon the pasta into bowls and garnish with fresh parsley before serving hot for a delightful touch.

Notes

For added depth, consider adding a dash of white wine to the sauce after sautéing the garlic. Adjust seasoning to your preference.
