Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 to 1.75 pounds skin-on salmon fillet
  • 1 lemon, sliced into thin rounds
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons honey
  • 5 cloves garlic, finely pressed or minced
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons finely chopped fresh parsley (optional for garnishing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) for the perfect baking environment.
  2. Place the salmon on a sheet of foil with the skin-side down, creating a lovely platform for all the flavors to come.
  3. Nestle the thin lemon slices underneath the salmon, spaced evenly.
  4. In a microwave-safe measuring cup or bowl, combine the butter and heat on high until melted, about 1 minute.
  5. Stir in the lemon juice, honey, and minced garlic into the melted butter.
  6. Evenly season your salmon with kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper.
  7. Seal up the foil around the salmon, crimping or pinching it together.
  8. Bake for about 17 minutes. The aroma will have you salivating!
  9. Remove from the oven and carefully open the packet to expose the salmon.
  10. Spoon the reserved buttery mixture over the salmon and broil for about 5 to 10 minutes until golden.
  11. Optionally, garnish with finely chopped parsley for a pop of color and flavor.
