Delightful bars with layers of chocolate, caramel, and coconut, perfect for gatherings or as a sweet indulgence.

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 cups shredded coconut
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9×13 baking pan by lightly greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream the unsalted butter with the brown sugar, stirring until frothy.
  3. Mix in the all-purpose flour until a thick dough forms, resembling soft playdough.
  4. Evenly press the dough into the prepared pan to create a solid crust.
  5. Bake the crust for 10-12 minutes until it turns golden brown.
  6. Remove the crust from the oven and sprinkle the shredded coconut and chocolate chips over it.
  7. Drizzle the warm caramel sauce evenly over the toppings.
  8. Place the pan back in the oven for another 15-20 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  9. Let the bars cool completely in the pan before slicing into squares or bars.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate chips. Sprinkle additional sea salt before serving for enhanced flavor.
