  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 2 cups Rice Krispies
  • 12 cups chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the vanilla extract and eggs, mixing until well combined.
  4. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, and baking soda in another bowl.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  6. Fold in the rolled oats and Rice Krispies until evenly distributed.
  7. Stir in the chocolate chips until well mixed.
  8. Scoop small mounds of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them apart.
  9. Bake for 12-15 minutes, until the edges are golden and centers are set.
  10. Cool on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For thicker cookies, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking. Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
