Delightful puff pastry apple roses, combining the crunch of pastry with spiced apple slices for a stunning dessert.

  • 1 sheet puff pastry
  • 2 medium apples
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons apricot jam
  • Flour for dusting
  • Powdered sugar for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. On a floured surface, roll out the puff pastry and cut into long strips.
  3. Carefully slice the apples thinly and toss with cinnamon.
  4. On each strip of puff pastry, lay the apple slices overlapping.
  5. Gently roll the pastry up to form a rose shape.
  6. Arrange the apple roses in a muffin tin.
  7. Warm the apricot jam and brush it over the pastry.
  8. Pop the muffin tin into the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  9. Allow cooling slightly before dusting with powdered sugar if desired.

Notes

For a unique twist, mix tart and sweet apples and consider using other fruits like pears.
