  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup ground pistachios
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp rosewater
  • Pinch of salt
  • Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease the madeleine pan.
  2. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, and a pinch of salt in a bowl.
  3. Beat the eggs and granulated sugar until thick and light.
  4. Fold in the flour mixture into the egg-sugar blend.
  5. Add the melted butter, ground pistachios, and rosewater.
  6. Spoon the batter into the madeleine molds, filling each about 3/4 full.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes until lightly golden.
  8. Cool for a few minutes before removing from the pan and dust with powdered sugar if desired.

Notes

Use high-quality rosewater for the best flavor. Optionally add lemon zest for a citrus twist.
