A deliciously unique twist on traditional chicken wings, combining juicy, spicy, and sweet flavors with a tropical touch from pineapple juice.

Ingredients

  • Chicken Wings: 2 pounds, trimmed and patted dry
  • Pineapple Juice: 1 cup, fresh or canned
  • Brown Sugar: 1/2 cup, packed
  • Honey: 1/4 cup
  • Apple Cider Vinegar: 1/4 cup
  • Chili Flakes: 1 tablespoon, adjust to taste
  • Garlic Powder: 1 teaspoon
  • Salt: 1 teaspoon
  • Pineapple Chunks: 1 cup, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine pineapple juice, brown sugar, honey, apple cider vinegar, chili flakes, garlic powder, and salt. Whisk until well mixed.
  3. Add the chicken wings to the bowl and toss until they are evenly coated in the marinade. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top. Arrange the marinated wings on the rack in a single layer.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, turning halfway through, until the wings are golden brown and crispy.
  6. During the last 10 minutes of baking, brush the wings with additional marinade for extra flavor.
  7. Remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  8. Garnish with fresh pineapple chunks before serving.

Notes

For extra crispy wings, make sure to pat them dry properly before marinating. Adjust chili flakes based on your spice preference.
