A tasty and healthy side dish that elevates any meal with the natural sweetness of roasted Brussels sprouts and delightful Parmesan flavor.

  • 1 pound Brussels sprouts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Rinse the Brussels sprouts, trim the stem ends, remove any yellow leaves, and then halve each sprout.
  3. Toss the Brussels sprouts with olive oil, kosher salt, black pepper, and garlic powder until they are evenly coated.
  4. Spread the sprouts out in a single layer cut side down on a baking sheet.
  5. Roast in the oven for 20 to 25 minutes, shaking or flipping them halfway through until the edges are golden and the centers are tender.
  6. Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese and lemon zest, tossing gently to combine.
  7. Transfer to a serving dish and serve warm.

Notes
