Savory Onion Bombs filled with seasoned ground meat and wrapped in crispy bacon.

Ingredients

  • 4 large onions
  • 1 lb ground meat (beef, pork, or chicken)
  • 8 bacon strips
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 tsp seasoning (salt, pepper, garlic powder, etc.)
  • Cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cut the tops off the large onions and hollow them out.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine your choice of ground meat with bread crumbs and seasonings.
  4. Generously stuff the hollowed onions with the meat mixture.
  5. Wrap each onion tightly with bacon strips.
  6. Place the stuffed onions in a baking dish and cover with foil.
  7. Bake for 45 minutes, then remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
  8. Once done, let them cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Pair with a fresh salad or creamy mashed potatoes. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
