A comforting dish combining hearty pasta with rich Italian sausage and creamy cheese, all made in one pan.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Italian sausage (removed from casings)
  • 1 lb pasta (penne or rotini)
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded white cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup ranch dressing
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Brown the sausage in a large skillet over medium heat until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Add the pasta to the skillet, stirring well to combine with the sausage.
  3. Pour in the chicken broth and milk; bring to a gentle boil.
  4. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 10-12 minutes until the pasta is al dente.
  5. Stir in white cheddar cheese, ranch dressing, and Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy.
  6. Season with salt and pepper, then serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs or additional cheese if desired.

Notes

Don’t skip the browning step to add depth of flavor. Feel free to experiment with pasta shapes and add vegetables for variation.
