A flavorful and comforting pasta dish featuring tender bites of steak coated in spicy Cajun seasoning, mixed with creamy cheddar and Parmesan cheese, all prepared in one pan.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 12 oz pasta (penne or rotini)
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 green onions, chopped

Instructions

  1. Sear the steak in a large skillet with olive oil over medium-high heat for 3-4 minutes until browned, then remove and set aside.
  2. Add the beef broth to the skillet and bring it to a boil, scraping up any brown bits from the bottom.
  3. Stir in the pasta and cook until al dente, approximately 8-10 minutes.
  4. Reduce heat to low and gently stir in the heavy cream, followed by the cheddar and Parmesan until melted and creamy.
  5. Return the seared steak to the skillet and mix well, incorporating the butter until melted.
  6. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

For extra heat, consider adding diced jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce. For a lighter version, substitute half the cream with broth.
