  • 14 Oreo cookies, crushed (keep cream filling inside)
  • 1/3 cup salted butter, melted
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 cup powdered sugar, divided
  • 10 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 8 ounces semi-sweet chocolate, melted then cooled
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Prepare the pan by lining an 8×8-inch square pan with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. Create the Oreo crust by combining the crushed Oreo cookies with the melted butter. Press this mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan.
  3. Freeze the crust for about 10 minutes to set while preparing the filling.
  4. Whip the heavy whipping cream with 1/4 cup of powdered sugar until stiff peaks form. Set aside.
  5. Combine the softened cream cheese with the remaining powdered sugar until smooth, then add sour cream, cooled chocolate, and vanilla. Beat until creamy.
  6. Fold the whipped cream into the creamy mixture until evenly combined.
  7. Spread the cheesecake filling over the crust evenly.
  8. Chill for at least 5 hours until set and firm.
  9. Cut the cheesecake into slices and serve with fresh whipped cream.

Notes

For best results, use room temperature cream cheese and avoid overmixing the whipped cream.
