A breezy dish that emphasizes the beautiful and natural flavors of salmon, accented with buttery garlic and zesty lemon.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 to 1.75 pounds skin-on salmon fillet
  • 1 lemon, sliced into thin rounds
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons honey
  • 5 cloves garlic, finely pressed or minced
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons finely chopped fresh parsley (optional for garnishing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F.
  2. Place the salmon on a sheet of foil with the skin-side down.
  3. Nestle those beautiful lemon slices underneath the salmon.
  4. Add the butter to a microwave-safe glass measuring cup and heat until melted.
  5. Stir in lemon juice, honey, and minced garlic into the melted butter.
  6. Pour about three-quarters of the mixture over the salmon.
  7. Season your salmon with salt and pepper.
  8. Fold the foil to create a tight seal.
  9. Bake for about 17 minutes.
  10. Remove from the oven and carefully open the packet.
  11. Set your oven to HI broil and spoon the reserved buttery mixture over the salmon.
  12. Broil for about 5 to 10 minutes, or until golden.
  13. Optionally sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
