  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 large egg yolks
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup key lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon grated lime zest
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Whipped cream (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter in a mixing bowl.
  3. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch pie dish to form the crust.
  4. Bake the crust for 8-10 minutes or until lightly golden.
  5. Whisk together egg yolks, sweetened condensed milk, key lime juice, lime zest, and salt until well combined.
  6. Pour the filling into the pre-baked crust and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
  7. Cool the pie at room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 3 hours before serving.
  8. Serve with whipped cream on top.
