Sticky and tender ribs glazed with a sweet and savory honey garlic marinade, perfect for any BBQ gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds Pork Spareribs (or baby back ribs)
  • 1/2 cup Honey (or maple syrup)
  • 1/4 cup Soy Sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
  • 1/4 cup Distilled White Vinegar (or apple cider vinegar)
  • 1/4 cup Brown Sugar (or coconut sugar)
  • 4 cloves Garlic (minced; or garlic powder)
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Salt (or regular salt with more minced garlic)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the ribs by rinsing them under cold water and patting dry with paper towels.
  2. Mix together the honey, soy sauce, distilled white vinegar, brown sugar, minced garlic, and garlic salt in a bowl to create the marinade.
  3. Place the ribs in a resealable bag or dish, pour the marinade over, seal, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (or overnight).
  4. Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
  5. Line a baking tray with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top.
  6. Bake the ribs on the rack, bone-side down, for about 2 hours until tender.
  7. Bring the reserved marinade to a boil in a saucepan and simmer for about 10 minutes to thicken for glazing.
  8. Baste the ribs with the glaze and broil for 5-7 minutes until caramelized.
  9. Remove from the oven, let rest for a few minutes, then slice between the bones.
  10. Serve hot, drizzled with any extra glaze and your favorite sides.

Notes

Pat the ribs dry before marinating to enhance flavor penetration. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 3 months.
