Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces of rice noodles
  • 1 pound of flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup of snap peas
  • 3 green onions, chopped
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon of fresh ginger, grated
  • 1/4 cup of hoisin sauce
  • 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon of red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the Noodles: Boil the rice noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Sear the Beef: Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the flank steak, season with salt and pepper, and stir-fry until browned, about 2-3 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. Stir-Fry the Veggies: In the same skillet, heat the remaining oil. Sauté the minced garlic and grated ginger until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Add the bell pepper and snap peas, and stir-fry until tender-crisp, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add the Sauce: Return the beef to the skillet. Stir in the hoisin sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes if using. Toss to coat evenly for about a minute.
  5. Combine with Noodles: Add the cooked rice noodles and green onions. Toss until heated through and well-combined.
  6. Serve It Up: Plate and enjoy this savory noodle bowl hot!
