Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces of rice noodles
  • 1 pound of flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup of snap peas
  • 3 green onions, chopped
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon of fresh ginger, grated
  • 1/4 cup of hoisin sauce
  • 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon of red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the Noodles: Boil the rice noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Sear the Beef: Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the thinly sliced flank steak, season with salt and pepper, and stir-fry until browned, about 2-3 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. Stir-Fry the Veggies: In the same skillet, heat the remaining tablespoon of oil. Sauté the minced garlic and grated ginger for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Add the sliced bell pepper and snap peas, and stir-fry until tender-crisp, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add the Sauce: Return the beef to the skillet. Stir in the hoisin sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes if using. Toss everything together to coat evenly with the sauce for about a minute.
  5. Combine with Noodles: Add the cooked rice noodles and chopped green onions to the skillet. Toss everything together until heated through and well-combined.
  6. Serve It Up: Plate it up and enjoy your Hoisin Beef Noodles hot!

Notes

Consider serving with crispy spring rolls or a refreshing cucumber salad. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for 2-3 days.
