A nostalgic and comforting casserole combining savory beef, creamy mushroom soup, tender potatoes, and green beans.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 4 medium potatoes, sliced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 can (15 ounces) green beans, drained
  • 1 can (10.5 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the ground beef and chopped onion in a skillet over medium heat until the meat is no longer pink, then drain excess grease.
  3. Mix together the sliced potatoes, drained green beans, the beef mixture, condensed cream of mushroom soup, and add a pinch of salt and pepper.
  4. Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish and spread evenly.
  5. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 1 hour.
  6. Remove the foil, sprinkle cheese on top, and return to the oven for an additional 10-15 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Notes

Feel free to experiment with different vegetables or proteins. Make ahead of time for convenience.
