Deliciously soft and flaky bread rolls infused with Italian herbs and cheese, perfect for any meal.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon dried Italian herbs (oregano, basil, thyme)
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) instant yeast
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup shredded Colby cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese

Instructions

  1. Combine dry ingredients in a large bowl: flour, sugar, salt, dried herbs, and instant yeast.
  2. Add warm water and olive oil to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for 30-40 minutes.
  5. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  6. Shape the risen dough into 10-12 equal rolls and place on a baking sheet.
  7. Top each roll with shredded Colby and Monterey Jack cheese.
  8. Let the rolls rise for another 15-20 minutes.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Enjoy warm, fresh from the oven.

Notes

Serve with marinara for dipping or garlic spread. Pairs well with Caesar salad or tomato bisque.
