A warm and comforting tuna melt sandwich that’s both delicious and nutritious.

Ingredients

  • 1 can of tuna, drained
  • 1 tablespoon Greek yogurt or mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup diced celery
  • 1/4 cup diced onion
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 slices of whole-grain bread
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (like cheddar or mozzarella)
  • Fresh herbs (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Mix the drained tuna with Greek yogurt or mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, diced celery, diced onion, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Spread the tuna mixture evenly over the slices of whole-grain bread.
  4. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top of each tuna melt.
  5. Place the sandwiches on a baking sheet and bake for about 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh herbs if desired, and serve warm.

Notes

You can meal prep the tuna mix and store it in the fridge for up to 3 days.
