A nutritious and delicious twist on the classic burger, packed with savory turkey patties, creamy special sauce, and fresh veggies on a bed of romaine lettuce.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 cup avocado mayo
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon pickle juice
  • 4 cups chopped romaine lettuce
  • 1/2 cup sliced cherry tomatoes
  • 1/3 cup sliced red onion
  • 1/3 cup sliced pickles
  • 1/3 cup cooked, chopped bacon (optional)
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Prepare the ground turkey by mixing with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, kosher salt, and black pepper.
  2. Form the turkey mixture into 4 patties and cook in a skillet over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes on each side.
  3. Craft the special sauce by mixing avocado mayo, ketchup, Dijon mustard, pickle juice, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and a pinch of salt and pepper.
  4. Assemble the bowls with a base of romaine lettuce and top with tomatoes, red onion, pickles, turkey patties, special sauce, and cheddar cheese.
