Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup cucumber, grated and drained
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 2 cucumbers, sliced
  • 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar

Instructions

  1. Mix the Chicken Patty Ingredients: In a bowl, combine ground chicken, breadcrumbs, egg, finely chopped red onion, minced garlic, fresh parsley, oregano, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Stir until just mixed.
  2. Shape the Patties: Shape the chicken mixture into eight equal patties.
  3. Sauté the Patties: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  4. Prepare the Tzatziki: In another bowl, combine Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, minced garlic, dill, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Stir well and refrigerate.
  5. Toss the Cucumber Salad: In a separate bowl, toss sliced cucumbers and thinly sliced red onion with olive oil, red wine vinegar, salt, and pepper.
  6. Serve and Enjoy: Serve the chicken patties topped with tzatziki alongside the cucumber salad.

Notes

Leftover patties can be stored for up to 3 days. Tzatziki will keep for up to 1 week in the fridge.
