A delightful and cheesy garlic bread that radiates warmth and comfort, perfect as a side dish or a main attraction at your table.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 loaf French Bread (Can substitute with Italian or sourdough.)
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter (Can be substituted with vegan butter.)
  • 4 cloves Garlic (Minced.)
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley (Can omit or use dried.)
  • 1 teaspoon Salt (Adjust to taste.)
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper (Consider red pepper flakes for heat.)
  • 2 cups Mozzarella Cheese (Shredded; can mix with pepper jack.)
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese (Grated; can substitute with Asiago.)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C). A hot oven is crucial for that golden, crisp finish we all adore!
  2. Prepare the Garlic Butter: In a medium bowl, combine the softened unsalted butter, minced garlic, fresh parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix it all up until it’s well combined.
  3. Slice the Bread: Take the loaf of French bread and slice it in half lengthwise.
  4. Slather the Garlic Butter: Spread the garlic butter mixture generously over the cut sides of the bread.
  5. Cheese It Up: Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella all over the garlic butter-covered bread, then add the grated Parmesan or Asiago.
  6. Bake to Perfection: Place your masterpiece on a baking sheet and pop it into your preheated oven. Bake for about 15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and the edges of the bread are golden brown.
  7. Cool and Garnish: Once it’s out of the oven, let it cool for a couple of minutes. If using fresh parsley, sprinkle it on top.
  8. Serve Warm: Cut the bread into manageable pieces and serve immediately while it’s still warm and gooey.
