Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 slices of bread (your choice: white, whole wheat, sourdough)
  • 4 slices of cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your favorite)
  • 4 tablespoons butter (softened)
  • 2 cloves of garlic (minced)
  • To taste: Salt
  • To taste: Pepper
  • Fresh herbs (like parsley or basil) for garnish

Instructions

  1. Mix garlic butter by combining the softened butter with minced garlic in a small bowl.
  2. Spread a generous layer of the garlic butter mixture on one side of each slice of bread.
  3. Layer the cheese on the unbuttered side of two of the slices.
  4. Assemble the sandwiches with the other slices of bread, buttered side out.
  5. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and cook the sandwiches for about 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Flip the sandwiches using a spatula and cook for another 3-4 minutes.
  7. Garnish the cooked sandwiches with fresh herbs before slicing in half.

Notes

Ensure your butter is at room temperature for easy spreading. Consider adding sliced tomatoes or spinach for extra flavor.
