A simple and flavorful recipe for firecracker shrimp, packed with spices and a crispy texture, perfect for any meal or gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound large shrimp
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons sriracha
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Marinate the shrimp: In a bowl, combine olive oil, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, honey, and sriracha. Add the shrimp and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Prepare the coating: In another bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, salt, and pepper. Dredge marinated shrimp in this mixture until well coated.
  3. Fry the shrimp: Heat oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Fry the shrimp in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  4. Serve and enjoy: Drain the fried shrimp on paper towels and serve hot.

Notes

For less spicy shrimp, adjust the sriracha to your preference. You can also bake the shrimp instead of frying them for a healthier option.
