An explosion of flavor in every bite, these crispy Firecracker Shrimp are marinated in a zesty mix of garlic, ginger, soy sauce, honey, and sriracha.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound large shrimp
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons sriracha
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Marinate the shrimp: In a bowl, combine the olive oil, minced garlic, ginger, soy sauce, honey, and sriracha. Add the shrimp and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Prepare the dredging mixture: In another bowl, mix the flour, cornstarch, salt, and pepper. This mixture will create the perfect crunch for your shrimp, so make sure it’s well blended.
  3. Dredge the shrimp: Take the marinated shrimp out of the bowl and dredge them in the flour-cornstarch mixture, coating well.
  4. Fry until golden brown: Heat oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Fry the shrimp in batches until they are golden brown and crispy—about 2-3 minutes on each side.

Notes

For a healthier alternative, consider baking the shrimp at 400°F (200°C) until cooked through and crispy.
