A warm and nostalgic recipe for chocolate chip cookies that are eggless, chewy, and filled with melted chocolate. Perfect for any occasion!

Ingredients

  • 200 g all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 tsp baking powder
  • 150 g salted butter
  • 150 g white sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (or paste)
  • 100 g dark chocolate (chopped)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 160°C (320°F/140°F fan).
  2. Sift the all-purpose flour and baking powder together in a bowl.
  3. Chop up the chocolate bar roughly into little bits.
  4. Melt the butter in the microwave in 30-second bursts.
  5. Add the sugar to the melted butter and stir thoroughly.
  6. Now, add the vanilla extract (or paste) to the mixture.
  7. Tip in the sifted flour and baking powder mixture into the bowl.
  8. Gently fold in the chopped chocolate pieces.
  9. Now, form golf-sized balls with the cookie dough.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-18 minutes.
  11. Remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool on the baking tray.
  12. Store the cookies in an airtight container for up to 5 days.

Notes

Chill the dough for about 30 minutes before baking for a chewier cookie.
