A quick and comforting one-pan meal featuring savory ground beef, fluffy rice, and melting cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 2 tablespoons garlic butter
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the garlic butter until it turns bubbly and fragrant.
  2. Add the chopped onion and bell pepper to the skillet, stirring occasionally.
  3. Cook until they are softened, which should take about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Next, toss in the ground beef, breaking it apart with a spatula.
  5. Cook until it’s nicely browned, about another 5-7 minutes.
  6. Now it’s time to add in the cooked rice and gently stir everything together.
  7. Sprinkle the shredded cheese evenly on top of the mixture.
  8. Cover the skillet and let it sit on low heat for a few minutes to let the cheese melt.
  9. Once the cheese is melted and bubbly, give it a good stir and serve hot, garnished with green onions if desired.

Notes
