A delightful twist on traditional burgers, featuring cabbage slices as low-carb buns filled with savory beef and cheese.

Ingredients

  • 1 head green cabbage, cut into 1-inch slices
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper (to taste)
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Arrange the cabbage slices on the prepared baking sheet and brush with olive oil.
  4. Bake the cabbage for 10 minutes.
  5. Combine the ground beef, onion, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  6. Mold the beef mixture into patties on each cabbage slice.
  7. Spread mayonnaise and Dijon mustard over each patty.
  8. Top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  9. Return the baking sheet to the oven and bake for 15 to 20 minutes.
  10. Let the burgers rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven at 350°F for about 10 minutes.
