A quick and flavorful salmon recipe coated with a sweet and tangy honey orange glaze, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons butter
  • 4 6-ounce salmon fillets (skin on)
  • 1/4 cup fresh orange juice
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic (crushed or minced)
  • 1 pinch salt (to taste)
  • 1 pinch cracked pepper (to taste)
  • 1/2 orange sliced (to serve)

Instructions

  1. Heat the butter (or oil) in a pan or skillet over medium-high heat until melted and sizzling.
  2. Sear the salmon skin-side up for 3-4 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  3. Carefully flip the salmon fillets and sear for another 2 minutes, allowing the skin to crisp up beautifully.
  4. Pour in the fresh orange juice and allow it to reduce to half over approximately 1 minute.
  5. Toss in the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds, filling your kitchen with aromatic goodness.
  6. Move the salmon to the sides of the pan, then drizzle in the honey and soy sauce, stirring well to ensure everything is mixed together.
  7. Bring the mixture to a simmer until it reduces to a syrupy consistency, which should take about 30 seconds to 1 minute.
  8. Gently move the salmon around in the pan to coat it evenly with the luscious sauce.
  9. Finally, season with salt and pepper to taste, and drizzle the flavor-packed sauce generously over the salmon before serving.
