A delicious Crispy Parmesan Chicken dish enveloped in a rich garlic sauce, perfect for any occasion.

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil, divided
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness of about 1/2 inch.
  3. Mix together the Parmesan cheese, panko breadcrumbs, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Place the flour on a separate plate.
  5. Whisk together the eggs and milk.
  6. Dredge each chicken breast in flour, shaking off the excess.
  7. Dip the floured chicken in the egg mixture.
  8. Coat the chicken in the Parmesan breadcrumb mixture.
  9. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
  10. Add the chicken to the skillet and cook until golden, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  11. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes.
  12. In a small saucepan, heat the remaining olive oil over medium heat.
  13. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  14. Stir in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer.
  15. Add heavy cream and stir, simmering for about 5 minutes until thickened.
  16. Remove the chicken from the oven and pour the garlic sauce over it.
  17. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

For extra crunch, add a tablespoon of cornmeal to the breadcrumb mixture. Let the chicken rest for a few minutes after baking to help retain juices.
