Comforting and flavorful chicken breast cooked in a creamy tomato basil sauce, perfect for weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 can diced tomatoes (14 oz)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Splash tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chicken by seasoning with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. Sauté the garlic in olive oil over medium heat until fragrant.
  3. Cook the chicken for 5-6 minutes on each side until golden and cooked through.
  4. Create the tomato basil sauce by simmering the diced tomatoes in the same skillet.
  5. Add the heavy cream and let the sauce simmer gently until thickened.
  6. Incorporate the fresh basil into the sauce and adjust seasoning if necessary.
  7. Combine the chicken with the sauce and let it simmer for a few more minutes.
