A comforting and elegant pasta dish with earthy mushrooms and rich gruyere cheese in a creamy sauce.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz pasta (fettuccine or your choice)
  • 2 cups mushrooms (sliced)
  • 1 cup gruyere cheese (shredded)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Boil your pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Sauté the mushrooms in a large skillet with olive oil over medium heat until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Introduce the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Create the creamy base by pouring in the heavy cream and bringing it to a gentle simmer. Stir in the gruyere cheese until melted and smooth.
  5. Combine the cooked pasta with the creamy mushroom sauce, stirring to coat. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.

Notes

For a special touch, add toasted breadcrumbs on top for crunch.
