A rich and comforting pasta dish that can be made in just 30 minutes, featuring a creamy garlic Parmesan sauce and tender chicken.

  • 12 ounces fusilli or penne pasta
  • 2 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breast
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese (freshly grated recommended)
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • To taste fine salt
  • To taste black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil, add pasta, and cook according to package instructions until al dente (8-10 minutes). Drain and set aside.
  2. Sauté the chicken: Season chicken with salt and pepper. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat, add chicken and cook for 5-6 minutes on each side until golden. Remove and let rest.
  3. Prepare the garlic: In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Make the creamy sauce: Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to mix. Bring to a simmer and add Parmesan cheese, stirring until melted.
  5. Add seasonings: Sprinkle in Italian seasoning and optional red pepper flakes, adjusting salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Combine everything: Add pasta and sliced chicken to the skillet, tossing until well coated in sauce.
  7. Garnish and serve: Sprinkle fresh parsley over the top and serve immediately.
