A rich and creamy cheese sauce that elevates any meal, perfect for drizzling over vegetables, pasta, or as a dip.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup Heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup Unsalted butter
  • 8 oz Cream cheese (or soft goat cheese)
  • 1 cup Grated cheddar (or hard cheese of choice)
  • 1 tsp Sea salt (add based on cheese choice)
  • 1/4 cup Water (or more cream, adjust for desired thickness)
  • Optional spices & herbs (customize with favorite seasonings)

Instructions

  1. Combine the heavy whipping cream and unsalted butter in a small saucepan.
  2. Heat gently over medium-low heat until the butter melts and the mixture starts to warm.
  3. Add the cream cheese and grated cheddar (or your preferred hard cheese). Stir continuously until all the cheeses melt together.
  4. Keep stirring the mixture as it starts to bubble.
  5. Reduce the heat and remove the pan from the stove to prevent the sauce from curdling.
  6. Stir vigorously until the sauce becomes smooth and luscious.
  7. If you prefer a thicker consistency, return the pan to low heat and cook for an additional 3-5 minutes.
  8. Serve the creamy cheese sauce immediately with your favorite dishes.

Notes

Stir continuously to avoid lumps and feel free to add spices like nutmeg or fresh chives to enhance flavor.
